QuickBooks Desktop Setup
Schedule time with our dedicated team of QuickBooks Desktop specialists, ready to assist you in connecting Biller Genie’s proprietary sync tool, MagicCarpet, for the first time.
By taking these steps in advance, you can ensure a seamless installation experience with MagicCarpet:
- Choose the computer that will connect to Biller Genie. This machine should remain powered on in the evenings to sync data while your staff is offline. Biller Genie can only sync when the sync manager is installed and running on the selected machine. For a head start, you can download MagicCarpet here and follow the simple Windows installer instructions.
- Ensure that QuickBooks is in single-user mode during the initial setup. Please notify your staff to log off during this time to avoid any interruptions.
- Log into the computer as an administrator. You will need your QuickBooks admin username and password (not just a user with admin rights).
- Make sure QuickBooks is open to the desired company file, and that no other company files are open on that machine.
- Once logged in as the QuickBooks admin in single-user mode, close any other popups and windows in QuickBooks to ensure a smooth connection.
